Is the song of fire and ice book series finished.
Or is he still writing it? I only just started reading the books a few weeks ago and I’m already up to book 3 it’s even better than the show how many books are there in total and is he writing any more?
the song of ICE and fire is still in progress. He is still writing it, as well as working on side novellas set in the same setting/erasthe sixth book is set for release in 2014.he is growing in age (62) but still healthy, and has vowed not to let another writer finish the series, he already has plans for the future plots and endings so he may finish the series before his death. however, he has given certain major plot points to show writers in case he does die. He based his story closely on the LOTR books, which are a HUGE influence for him growing up, and wants to write a similarly deep ending. very suspenseful, i’m on the edge of my seat! :Dhere’s the wikipedia page for more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Song_of_I…
How many books of a song of ice and fire are there.
I really want to read the books, and when I check them at ebay it says that the set contains 7 books, although as far as I know George R.R. Martin has released only 5 books. Help me I’m confused lol.
It contains seven books because two of them are so long, they’re separated in two volumes. So 5 books, but 7 volumes.A Game of ThronesA Clash of KingsA Storm of Swords 1: Steel and SnowA Storm of Swords 2: Blood and GoldA Feast for CrowsA Dance with Dragons 1: Dreams and DustA Dance with Dragons 2: After the Feast. Two more are due for release whenever George R.R. Martin is finished writing them: The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.

Series 1 of “Game of Thrones” is an adaptation of how many books in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series.
I want to read on from where the first TV series ends, but where do i pick up?
Honestly, you should go ahead and read the first book, “Game of Thrones” even though that’s what the first season was based off of. The show stayed pretty true to the book but they are all so, so good, so well written…you don’t want to miss anything. But if you really want to skip what you’ve already seen then just read Clash of Kings, the second book in the series.Eventually they will begin splitting the seasons to have 2 cover one book. I believe that’s supposed to begin in the 3rd season.
How thoroughly does Game of Thrones follow the books in A Song of Ice and Fire.
I’ve read book one, but watched seasons two and three, and want to skip to book four…but will anything storybreaking be left out, or will i be confused?
Well season three is only half of book three, so you still need to read the book. It’s one of the best in the series. Not even halfway through the book has done things we haven’t seen yet, and things like Sansa and tyrions wedding which was the eighth episode of the last season, but there’s also things I know from the series that weren’t in the book yet. It’s mixed up, is what I mean. The fourth book has many new characters as doesn’t have people like Jon snow or Daenerys. They are in the fifth book. The fourth and fifth book are happening at the same time actually, but the characters are divided among them. They follow closely. The only difference I know from season 2 and the second book is that Daenerys didn’t lock Xaro Xhoan in the vault on Qarth. And she doesn’t know ser barisstan’s real name. That’s basically it. But you should watch the first season, it was good. But definitely start at the third book, or the fourth will be confusing
How many books are in the Song of Ice and Fire series by George Martin.
There will be seven novels when it is all said and done.Four of these novels have been completed and published:* A Game of Thrones (1996)* A Clash of Kings (1998)* A Storm of Swords (2000)* A Feast for Crows (2005)The remaining three novels are currently said to be titled:* A Dance with Dragons (no release date set, but it is hoped to be released in 2007)* The Winds of Winter* A Dream of Spring (formerly known as A Time for Wolves)There are also two prequel novellas to the series, set roughly 90 years before the novels.* The Hedge Knight (1998)* The Sworn Sword (2003)That should take you through it all! I really enjoy these books. There is a planned series on HBO for these movies, with each book getting its own season. I’m very curious about whether or not they can live up to fan expectations. Of course, when has anyone lived up to the huge expectations of the fans?
